AC vs DC : Electricity can be done in two ways such as AC (Alternaing current) and DC (direct current). Electricity can be defined as the flow of electrons across a conductor-like conductor. The main difference between AC & DC is mainly within the direction in which electrons are supplied.

AC operates at a frequency of 50-60 Hz. AC can convert from High to Low value with a transformer. It can be reversed, which means that the transition from low to high is very fast.

AC is therefore considered to be the best means of transmission and distribution.

What is Direct Current?

Direct Current

In contrast to AC, the electric current flows in a straight line. It works at zero frequency. The size and thickness of the DC remains the same at all times.It is therefore used for mobile phones, welding systems, electronic equipment, and electric vehicles.
