What does IP mean?

IP is International protection which is also called Ingress protection. It basically shows the safety of different electrical devices.

There are many types of security, but IP primarily provides external security to electrical devices, such as dust, sand, water, etc., to prevent them from entering through the mechanical casing.

Two or three numbers are normally used for IP rating. Below are given 1 for the first number, 2 for the second number, 3 for the third number.

The 1st digit will indicate how much safety from solid matter is paramount.

1 means that the fluid will not enter the device if it is applied directly on the device from above.
2 means that if you wear a liquid at an angle of 15 degrees from above, safety will be the main thing from it.
3 means, the liquid will not penetrate even if sprayed at 60 degrees.
4 means you spray liquid from any direction, it will not enter.
